HYDRAULIC FLUME
(Tilting Type)

 
M.S. hydraulic flume tilting type with transparent walls at the section for
visual observation of the flow pattern. Steadying arrangement with baffles 5 Nos. in the receiving chamber to streamline the flow. The upstream & the downstream sections are provided with 2 Nos. of fine gates with rack (G.M). The slope of the flume ranges up to ± 1/50 to 2%.
The flume is provided with following extra replacement accessories to conduct different type of experiment.

5. Broad crested weir
6. Venturimeter

Centrifugal pump size 4” x 4” for supply of water for the flume 10 HP
induction motor 440/400 V 3 phase AC supply, switch & starter.

Adjustable trolley wheel & a standard hook gauge 0.6 m height

4” G.M. Venturimeter & differential manometer of 1 m height to determine the discharge

Hydraulic flume 10 M long with transparent sides of thick Perspex sheet plates for length of 6 m on both sides for visual observation of flow pattern fixed nearly to M.S. angle frame section rubber packing, the inlet section is provided with flow. The upstream & the downstream section are provided with 2 Nos. of fine gates with rack (G.M). The slope of the flume ranges upto ± 1/50 to 2%. The tilling
arrangement is operated by an electric motor drive for both forward & backward slope settings. The flume is provided with following extra replacement accessories to conduct different type of experiments

TILTING FLUME ADJUSTABLE CHANNEL

The flume consists of a channel of size as in specifications. At the inlet a Flow steadying section is provided so that there will be fewer disturbances at the test section. The gates provided at the upstream and downstream of the Test section help to regulate the depth of flow. Depth measurements can be Achieved with the help of a hook or point gauge mounted on a trolley which Gives longitudinal and transverse movement. The slope of the bed can be Adjusted to give positive or negative slopes.
