Piping circuit with 3 M.S. / G.I. pipes lines of sizes 25 mm, 15 mm. & 9 mm (¼ “). dia. with G.M. cocks tapings, at 1 m distances. Each pipe having the pressure tapings with separate cocks connected to a common middle manifold which is connected to the manometer & G.M. gate valve.

M.S. reservoir with gauge glass & scale fitting, drain valve of ½ ” size & a bend.

M.S. collecting as well as measuring tank with bypass arrangement & drain valve of 1” size. A gauge glass & scale fitting are fitted on measuring tank for discharge measurement.

Free & Forced Vortex Flow Apparatus
A free vortex flow apparatus consists of a center bottom discharge acrylic transparent vessel of 0.3 m. dia x 0.3 m. height, jacket by outer acrylic transparent vessel of 0.4 m. dia. x 0.5 m. height.

A forced vortex flow apparatus consists of a transparent vessel of 0.2 m. dia. x 0.3 m. height with rotary magnetic arrangement which is used as external force movement by magnetic coupling.

M.S. reservoir of size 0.9 m length x 0.55 m width x 0.45 m height with gauge glass & scale fitting, drain valve of ½ ” size & a bend.

Variable speed arrangement by a regulator for generating centrifugal head in forced vortex.

A propeller of 0.25 m. dia. driven by 2800 RPM. 3 HP (D.C.) motor is fixed in a circular pipe of 0.26 m. dia. of 2.5 m. length.

A multi column inclined tube manometer with engraved scale is fitted on wooden board & has tilting facility with degree of inclination scale.

Digital anemometer for velocity measurement.
